Whether he is their son and how he can see now

Whether he is old enough to speak for himself and where he lives

Whether he was recently healed and by whom

Whether the crowd has misunderstood what happened

Ask careful questions and listen before drawing conclusions

Assume the change must be fake if you were not there to see it

Set the story aside and focus only on your own opinion

Explain the change away without hearing the person's account

Lord, revive your Church so we ask honest questions, listen well, and recognize your work even when it surprises us. Free us from pride, fear, and quick judgment. Open our eyes to your mercy and make us humble witnesses of your healing, in the name of Jesus. Amen.
