See and Know the Lord Jesus

Lord, revive your Church so we do not merely talk about Jesus but recognize him when he speaks. Open our eyes, soften our hearts, and make us quick to answer his voice with faith and obedience. Let us not miss the Savior standing near us, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Wake Up Our Eyes to Jesus

Father, thank you that Jesus does not leave us guessing, but speaks with personal clarity. Thank you that he can be seen, known, and trusted. Teach me to treasure his words and receive his self-disclosure with gratitude, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Pray to Recognize His Voice

Pray for: someone who knows about Jesus but has not yet recognized him personally; a clear and gentle moment when Christ's words become real to them; courage for you to speak of Jesus in a way that helps them see him.

Help Someone Recognize Jesus

Bring these to God: distractions that keep you from noticing Jesus; assumptions that keep you from listening carefully; a desire to answer him honestly; gratitude for the places where he has already made himself known.
