Those who are told to ignore their doubts are praised.

Those who know everything are left exactly as they are.

They are praised for being clear-sighted.

Admit that you may not see everything clearly, and ask Jesus to help

Protect your image by acting as though your understanding is complete

Avoid hard questions so nothing unsettles you

Assume that one moment of insight means you no longer need to listen

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit that I have sinned and that I need you. I have trusted my own sight and walked in darkness. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I turn from my sin and confess you as my Lord and Savior. Please open my eyes, lead me into your truth, and save me from judgment. Amen.

Lord, revive your Church. Forgive us where we have acted sure of ourselves but failed to see clearly. Give us humility to receive your light, compassion for those who are still in darkness, and courage to bear witness to your truth. Make us a people who see with your eyes and follow your Son, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Pray by naming one place where you may be mistaken, asking Jesus to show you the truth, and asking for the humility to change.

Give thanks for Jesus' mercy to people who know they do not see, for his willingness to expose false confidence, and for the gift of clearer sight.

Praise Jesus as the one who reveals what is hidden, brings judgment with truth, and opens blind eyes to see.
