| 16. Formal Translation Thus declares the whole assembly of the LORD {Yahweh, Covenant Judge}: “What is this breach of faith you have done against the God of Israel, that today you turn away from following the LORD by building an altar for yourselves and rebel against the LORD?” |
| 16. Dynamic Translation This is what the entire community of the LORD {Yahweh, Covenant Overseer} says: “Why have you committed this act of betrayal against the God of Israel by turning away from following the LORD today and building an altar for yourselves in rebellion against Him?” |
