Judges 19:8:1וַיַּשְׁכֵּ֨םvayashkemand he rose early
Judges 19:8:2בַּבֹּ֜קֶרbabokerin the morning Judges 19:8:3בַּיּ֣וֹםbayomon the day Judges 19:8:4הַחֲמִישִׁי֮hakhamishithe fifth Judges 19:8:5לָלֶכֶת֒lalekhetto go Judges 19:8:6וַיֹּ֣אמֶרvayomerand he said Judges 19:8:7אֲבִ֣יavithe father of Judges 19:8:8הַֽנַּעֲרָ֗הhanaarathe young woman Judges 19:8:9סְעָד־נָא֙seadnastrengthen, please Judges 19:8:10לְבָ֣בְךָ֔levavkhayour heart Judges 19:8:11וְהִֽתְמַהְמְה֖וּvehitmamamehuand delay Judges 19:8:12עַד־נְט֣וֹתadnetotuntil the turning Judges 19:8:13הַיּ֑וֹםhayomthe day Judges 19:8:14וַיֹּאכְל֖וּvayokheluand they ate Judges 19:8:15שְׁנֵיהֶֽם׃shenehemboth of them
8. Formal Translation
On the fifth day, he rose early in the morning to depart, but the father of the young woman said, “Please refresh your heart, and delay yourselves until the day inclines.” So the two of them ate together.
8. Dynamic Translation
Early on the morning of the fifth day he got up to leave, but the young woman’s father said, “Have something to eat to restore your heart, and wait until later in the day.” So the two of them shared a meal.
