29. Formal Translation
And it shall be for you an everlasting statute; in the seventh month, on the tenth day of the month, you shall afflict your souls, and you shall do no work of any kind, whether native-born or sojourner among you.
29. Dynamic Translation
This will be an ongoing law for you—on the tenth day of the seventh month, you must deny yourselves and do no work at all, whether you are a citizen or a foreigner living with you.
