| 29. Formal Translation And it shall be for you an everlasting statute; in the seventh month, on the tenth day of the month, you shall afflict your souls, and you shall do no work of any kind, whether native-born or sojourner among you. |
| 29. Dynamic Translation This will be an ongoing law for you—on the tenth day of the seventh month, you must deny yourselves and do no work at all, whether you are a citizen or a foreigner living with you. |
