| 25. Formal Translation And you shall separate between the clean animal and the unclean, and between the unclean bird and the clean. And you shall not make your souls detestable by any animal or by any bird or by anything that crawls on the ground, those which I {Yahweh, Ritual Divider} have set apart for you for uncleanness. |
| 25. Dynamic Translation So you must distinguish between clean animals and unclean ones, and between unclean birds and clean ones. Do not make yourselves detestable through any animal, any bird, or any creature that creeps on the ground—these are the ones I {Yahweh, Source of Holiness} have separated for you as unclean. |
