| 32. Formal Translation A sabbath of complete rest it shall be for you, and you shall afflict your souls; on the ninth of the month at evening, from evening to evening, you shall observe your sabbath. |
| 32. Dynamic Translation This is to be a special day of solemn rest for you, and you must humble yourselves; on the ninth day of the month at sundown, from evening to evening, you are to keep your day of rest. |
