| 33. Formal Translation He must not distinguish between good and bad, and he must not substitute it. But if he does substitute it, both it and its substitute shall be holy; they shall not be redeemed. |
| 33. Dynamic Translation No one may choose between what is good and what is bad, and no one may make any substitution. If anyone goes so far as to make a complete substitution, both the animal and its replacement will be holy and can never be bought back. |
