11. Formal Translation And if his hand cannot reach two turtledoves or two young pigeons, then he shall present as his offering for the sin he has committed a tenth of an ephah of fine flour as a sin offering. He shall not put oil upon it, nor shall he place frankincense on it, for it is a sin offering. |
11. Dynamic Translation If he lacks the resources to bring two turtledoves or two young pigeons, he must offer a tenth of an ephah of fine flour as his sin offering. He must not add olive oil or any frankincense to it, because it remains a sin offering. |
