4. Formal Translation
Or if a soul swears to utter with the lips, to do evil or to do good, in anything that a person utters by oath, and it is hidden from him, then he knows and is guilty of one of these.
4. Dynamic Translation
Or if anyone swears an oath, thoughtlessly saying something with their lips—to harm or to help—in anything a person might promise in an oath, and it is concealed, but then they realize it, they are guilty of one of these.
