18. Formal Translation
And they all began at once to excuse themselves. The first said to him, “I have bought a field, and I must go out to see it; I ask you, consider me excused.”
18. Dynamic Translation
But everyone immediately started making excuses. The first person told him, “I purchased a field, and I have an unavoidable need to go look at it; please let me be excused.”
