9. Formal Translation And the devil took Him into Jerusalem, set Him on the pterygion of the temple, and said to Him, “If You are the Son of God {Huios Theou, Challenged Sonship}, cast Yourself down from here.” |
9. Dynamic Translation Then the devil took Him into Jerusalem and placed Him on the highest point of the temple, and said to Him, “If You truly are the Son of God {Huios Theou, Provoked Trust}, throw Yourself down from here.” |
