33. Formal Translation Because, behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man {huios tou anthropou, Messianic Representative} will be handed over to the chief priests and to the scribes, and they will condemn Him to death, and they will hand Him over to the Gentiles. |
33. Dynamic Translation Because, listen! We are heading to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man {huios tou anthropou, Suffering Redeemer} will be turned over to the chief priests and the experts in the law, and they will sentence Him to death and then hand Him over to the Gentiles. |
