38. Formal Translation But Jesus {Iesous, Correcting Teacher} said to them, “You do not know what you are asking. Are you able to drink the cup that I drink, or to be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with?” |
38. Dynamic Translation But Jesus {Iesous, Suffering Leader} replied, “You do not understand what you are requesting. Can you drink the cup I am drinking, or go through the baptism that I am going through?” |
