Receive and follow him as the promised Messiah

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit that I have sinned and cannot save myself. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I turn from my sin and open my life to you. I confess you as Lord and receive you as the Christ God promised. Amen.

Receive Jesus as the Christ

Lord, revive your Church with a fresh awareness that Jesus is the Christ. Where we have become careless about his identity, wake us up; where we have reduced him to a name in a story, restore wonder and obedience. Let our worship, witness, and daily lives point clearly to him, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Awaken Your Church to Christ

Father, thank you for bringing Jesus into the world through Mary and Joseph, and for keeping your promise through ordinary people and real family history. Thank you that Christ came near enough to enter our human story. Help me receive this gift with gratitude, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Thank You for Sending the Christ Through a Real Family Line

Pray by naming one area where you need to respond to Jesus as the Christ: ask God to help you trust him more, obey him more fully, and treat his title as more than a word on a page.

Pray for a Clear Response to Jesus

Bring these to God: families that need peace; homes where Jesus is known only by name; marriages that need healing and faithfulness; and the prayer that every generation would learn to honor Christ.

For Families to Recognize Jesus

Bring these to God: humility to receive Jesus as Christ; gratitude for the ordinary people God uses; courage to obey what you know; and a deeper trust that God is working even through hidden or simple parts of your life.
