Father, revive your Church to welcome your surprising work with faith instead of fear. Where we rush to explain everything, teach us to trust your Spirit. Where we have grown proud or careless, make us humble and pure. Let us receive Christ with awe and obey you with courage, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Revive Your Church with Holy Wonder

Thank God for Jesus Christ's coming; thank him that Mary's place in the story was chosen by grace; thank him for the Holy Spirit's unseen work before anyone else understood; thank him that he can begin salvation in hidden ways.

Give Thanks for God's Quiet Beginning

Pray by naming one situation that surprised you, asking God for steady trust, and surrendering the parts you cannot control. Then ask him to show one faithful next step and to keep your heart gentle while you wait, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Pray Through an Unexpected Change

Father, when my plans change before I am ready, give me peace and clean trust. Keep me from fear, suspicion, and rash words. Help me believe that you are still at work even when I cannot see the whole path, in the name of Jesus. Amen.
