If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit that I have sinned and have been afraid to belong to you openly. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I turn from my sin and trust you as my Savior and Lord. Please receive me, forgive me, and give me courage to confess you before others. Thank you for saving me. Amen.

Receive Jesus Openly

Lord, awaken your Church to honor Jesus without fear. Where we have hidden our allegiance, give us courage; where we have been silent, give us clear words; where we have cared more about people’s opinions than faithfulness, renew us. Let your people live and speak with open loyalty to Christ, trusting his promise to acknowledge his own before the Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Make Your People Bold

Pray by naming one place where it is hard to speak openly for Jesus. Confess the fear honestly, ask God for courage, and ask for one sentence or one action you can take this week.

Bring these to God: gratitude that Jesus does not forget the one who stands with him; thanks that the Father in heaven sees faithful witness; praise for Christ’s promise to acknowledge his people. Give thanks for the honor of belonging to him.

Father, strengthen believers who face rejection, ridicule, or loss because they name Jesus openly. Keep them steady, give them wisdom and courage, and let them rest in the promise that Christ will acknowledge them before you. Hold them fast today, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

For Those Under Pressure

Bring these to God: any habit of keeping Jesus private, any fear of people’s opinions, and any split between what you believe and what you say. Ask for a single-minded heart that lives openly for Christ in public and in private.
