Whether the crowd has understood the message

Whether the person being addressed should be left for later

Whether the person being addressed is the awaited one

Whether a second messenger should take over

Assume any answer will do if it ends the uncertainty

Keep seeking the expected one honestly instead of choosing a substitute

Stop asking because questions about identity are always wrong

Wait for perfect certainty before ever praying or acting

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I have looked for answers apart from you, and I need your mercy. I admit that I have sinned and cannot save myself. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I turn from my sin and receive you as my Lord and Savior. Lead me in your truth and keep me from chasing another answer. Amen.

Lord Jesus, Be My Answer

Lord, revive your Church when we grow restless and start looking for another hope. Give us fresh confidence in Jesus as the one we wait for, and make our witness steady, honest, and full of faith, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Renew Our Waiting Hearts

Start by naming one place where you are uncertain, then ask God to help you keep seeking the truth instead of settling for a substitute.

Pray the Question Honestly

Pray for people who are unsure about the promised one, that they would keep asking honest questions, recognize truth when they hear it, and not settle for an easier answer.

For Those Still Waiting

Thank God that honest questions do not have to be hidden, and thank him that Jesus can bear our uncertainty and lead us into clarity.

Grateful for Honest Seeking

Father, when I am impatient, keep me from running after another answer just because it is easier. Teach me to wait with faith, to ask honest questions, and to keep seeking the one you have promised, in the name of Jesus. Amen.
