Pause, realign your thinking with God's priorities, and then act

Keep going with the plan that feels most natural to the people around you

Stay silent so no one can challenge your idea

Focus on sounding wise even if your motives stay mixed

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I confess that I have sinned, trusted my own thoughts, and resisted your truth. I cannot save myself. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I turn from my sin and receive you as my Lord. Lead me to follow behind you and live under your rule. Amen.

Follow the Lord Who Leads Truth

Lord, revive your church where pride has made us resist your correction. Turn us back when we have lifted human wisdom above your way. Give us humble hearts, quick repentance, and minds fixed on what honors you, so we follow Jesus faithfully and do not become a hindrance to your work, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Renew a Teachable Church

Father, when my thoughts are shaped by fear, pride, or human pressure, realign me with your concerns. Help me notice when I am blocking what you want to do, and give me a mind that follows Jesus with clarity and peace, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Align My Mind With Yours

Bring these to God: defensiveness when corrected; fear of losing control; the desire to seem right; hidden human-centered motives; and a willingness to admit where your thinking needs to change.

Where Pride Needs Correction

Start by naming one conversation or decision. Ask God to show you whether you are thinking from his concerns or from human pressure. Confess any pride, fear, or need to be right, then pause and listen before you speak.

Pray Before You Answer

Thank God for corrections that protect you from becoming an obstacle; thank him that Jesus does not leave his followers in error; thank him for wisdom greater than your own; thank him for the grace to be redirected toward his purpose.
