The Father in heaven will deal with that person in the same way

The Father in heaven will ignore the matter

The person will be given more time with no change

waiting for a public apology before forgiving

Release the offense sincerely from within

Stay polite in public while keeping the hurt alive

Wait for the other person to earn it first

Say the words of forgiveness but keep the wound on record

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I confess that I have sinned and that I need your mercy. I have held on to unforgiveness, and I cannot make my heart clean by myself. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I turn from my sin and receive your forgiveness. Be my Lord and Savior, and teach me to forgive others as you have forgiven me. Amen.

Mercy for My Unforgiving Heart

Lord, revive your Church to forgive from the heart. Heal hardened places, break bitterness between your people, and make us quick to release offenses as we have received your mercy. Let our unity and mercy show the world your life, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Revive Us to Forgive

Father, I confess the grudges, harsh thoughts, and hidden refusals to forgive that I have carried. I do not want outward words with an unyielding heart. Soften me, free me, and teach me to let go of what I have held against others, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

A Confession of Grudges

Lord, I bring before you every strained relationship and every person who is trapped in resentment or regret. Give courage for apology, humility for listening, and grace for true forgiveness where it is possible. Where there is hurt, make a path toward peace, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Peace for Broken Relationships

Pray with thanksgiving for God's mercy that forgives you deeply, not only outwardly; for the freedom that comes when bitterness loosens; and for the chance to pass on the mercy you have received.

Thank God for Mercy That Reaches the Heart

Name one person you struggle to forgive. Ask God to show you any hidden resentment, ask for a heart that releases the offense, and then pray for the courage to take one concrete step toward peace today.
