Receive the Lord Who Gives Freely

Lord, revive your church where we have become jealous over how you bless others. Free us from scorekeeping, restore joy in your goodness, and make us glad to see your generosity at work among your people, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Revive Us from Comparison

Give thanks for God's freedom to give wisely, for the blessings already in your life, and for the good he shows to others without failing you.

Lord, I confess that I have often compared myself with others and resented your kindness to them. Forgive my envy, soften my heart, and teach me to trust your goodness with open hands, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Name the person or blessing that triggered comparison, tell God the honest feeling, and ask him to replace resentment with gratitude and peace.

Pray When Comparison Starts

Pray for people who feel overlooked when others are blessed: that God would comfort them, remind them of his care, and give them freedom to rejoice in another person's good.
