He went out again and repeated the same action

He stayed where he was and did nothing more

He changed the task instead of repeating it

He sent someone else to do the later round

Come back and do the needed work instead of stopping after one pass

Assume the first effort was enough and move on

Leave it unfinished unless someone else asks again

Change to a different task and ignore the open one

Lord, revive your church so we do not grow tired of going out again. Make us faithful to return, steady in love, and ready to serve even when the hour is late. Wake us to persistence and compassion, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Make Your People Steady

Father, thank you that you do not give up quickly and that later hours still matter to you. Thank you for repeated chances to respond, work, and obey. Teach me grateful faithfulness, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Thank You for Later Chances

Pray by naming one open task or relationship you need to return to, asking God for wisdom to do the next faithful step, and asking for the perseverance to come back when needed.

Pray for the Next Faithful Step

Bring these to God: a heart that keeps showing up, grace to finish what you started, patience when progress is slow, and trust that repeated effort can still be faithful.

Growing in Steady Follow-Through

Pray for: someone who feels overlooked because help seems delayed; a worker, caregiver, or friend who needs steady strength for another round; people who need someone to come back with care instead of disappearing.
