19. Formal Translation
And seeing a fig tree beside the road, Jesus {Iesous, Righteous Judge} went to it and found nothing on it except leaves. Then He said to it, “May fruit never again come from you forever,” and the fig tree withered immediately.
19. Dynamic Translation
Jesus {Iesous, Sovereign Authority} noticed a lone fig tree beside the road and went to it, but found nothing but leaves. Then He said to it, “May you never bear fruit again,” and right away the fig tree dried up.
