By being treated as the most important person

By staying above ordinary responsibilities

By waiting for others to prove worthy first

Serving others instead of insisting on recognition

Using importance to expect others to wait on you

Serving only in public so people notice your kindness

Putting off service until someone gives you a higher title

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit that I have sinned and put myself first. I turn from my sin and trust that you died for me and rose again. I believe you are Lord, and I receive your gift of salvation. Make me new and teach me the way of humble service. Amen.

Receive the Servant King

Lord, revive your Church to measure greatness by service, not by rank. Break our pride, heal our hunger for position, and make us glad to lift others up. Let our communities see the beauty of Christ in people who gladly serve, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Revive Your Church to Serve

Bring these to God: gratitude that Jesus defines greatness by serving; thankfulness for the people who quietly help you; praise for a kingdom where the lowly way is honored.

Thank You for the Way of Service

Pray by naming one place where you crave recognition, ask God to free you from it, and then ask him to show you one hidden act of service you can do today.

Pray for a Servant's Heart

Pray for church leaders, parents, teachers, and friends who influence others: that they would use their place to serve, protect, and encourage instead of demanding deference.

For Leaders Who Lift Others

Lord, train my heart to stop chasing importance and start choosing service. When I want to be noticed, remind me that your way of greatness is humble love. Give me joy in helping others without needing applause, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Teach Me to Choose the Lower Place
