Only the elect would make it through on their own.

Most people would suffer, but a few would still be safe.

The danger would end because enough people improved.

Without the shortening, no human being would survive.

The days will be shortened because of the elect.

The elect are the ones who cause the hardship to become worse.

Survival comes naturally if people simply wait long enough.

Stay steady in trust, keep alert, and do not assume the hardship has the final word.

Focus mainly on protecting yourself, since other people's need is secondary in a crisis.

Treat the warning as only a prediction exercise and leave it at that.

Give in to despair because no help is likely to come.

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit that I have sinned and that I cannot save myself. I turn from my sin and ask for your mercy. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I confess you as my Lord and ask you to keep me when the days feel too long and hard. Amen.

Receive Me in My Need

Lord, revive your Church when the days feel long and the pressure heavy. Keep us from panic, self-protection, and spiritual dullness. Make us steady in trust, quick in compassion, and awake to your care for your people. Shorten what needs to be shortened, and renew our faith, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Revive Your Church in Long Days

Thank God for limiting what would overwhelm us, for seeing his people, and for giving hope when seasons feel too long. Give thanks that his mercy is greater than the threat.

Name the hardship that feels too long, ask God to shorten what must be shortened, and then ask him for one faithful step to take today.

Pray Through a Long Season

Father, when the pressure feels crushing, steady my heart. Preserve my faith, keep me from despair, and help me trust you to carry what I cannot carry, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Pray for people in long hardship, for the weary, the anxious, the persecuted, and those who feel they cannot go on. Ask God to preserve them, give them endurance, and let them know he has not forgotten them.
