Ready to Receive You

Lord, wake your Church from routine and spiritual sleep. In ordinary work and ordinary days, make us faithful, alert, and ready for your coming. Keep us from drifting through life unthinking, and let our lives point people to you, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Wake Your Church to Be Ready

Father, thank you for speaking plainly and for warning us with mercy. Thank you that you do not leave us guessing about what matters most. Help me receive your warning with humility and live with a watchful heart, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Father, help me be faithful in ordinary work, alert in hidden places, and ready to obey when you call. Keep my heart from drifting and my hands from wasting time, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Pray for: people who are busy with daily routines but not ready before God; those who feel numb or distracted; a fresh awareness that the Lord sees the ordinary places of life and calls for faithfulness.
