Come directly with a humble, clear request

Wait and hope the need disappears on its own

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit my sin and my need for mercy. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I turn from my sin and confess you as my Lord and Savior. Please forgive me, receive me, and bring me into your kingdom. Amen.

Lord Jesus, Receive Me

Lord, revive your Church where we have grown slow, distant, or distracted. Give us humble hearts that come to you promptly, speak to you honestly, and welcome those who are seeking you. Make us ready to answer your voice with faith and obedience, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Wake Your Church to Come Quickly

Father, forgive us for delaying what you are asking of us and for only seeking you when we feel desperate. Turn our hearts back to you, teach us to come quickly, and make our words honest before you, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

From Delay to Humble Return

Pray by naming the need clearly, addressing the Lord directly, and asking for mercy without excuses. Then sit quietly and trust him with the answer.

Pray a Plain, Direct Request

Thank God that he hears honest pleas, receives those who come to him, and does not turn away a humble request. Give thanks for his mercy when you do not know what else to say.

Thank You for Hearing the Needy

Pray for anyone who feels shut out, ashamed, or far from God. Ask the Lord to draw them near, give them courage to call on him, and meet them with mercy.
