If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit that I have lived carelessly and have not kept my heart ready for you. I turn from my sin and from my spiritual sleep. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I confess you as Lord, and I ask you to forgive me, awaken me, and keep me ready for your coming. Amen.

Wake My Heart, Lord Jesus

Lord, revive your Church where we have grown distracted, sleepy, and careless. Forgive our complacency, stir us to holy alertness, and make us people who live ready for your Son. Let hope, obedience, and love stay awake in us, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Awaken Your Church to Watchfulness

Pray by naming one place where you tend to drift, then ask God for one practical habit that will help you stay alert this week.

Pray for a Watchful Habit

Bring these to God: procrastination in obedience, distraction that dulls your attention, and any habit of treating his call as distant. Ask him to wake you and make you ready now.

Turn from Spiritual Drowsiness

Thank God that he does not leave you guessing without purpose, but calls you to readiness as a gift of mercy. Thank him that watchfulness can be a hopeful way to live, not a burden.

Thank God for a Loving Warning

Pray for someone you know who has become careless or spiritually asleep, asking God to awaken their heart, renew their attention, and draw them back to readiness.

Pray for Someone to Wake Up
