The verse presents two distinct destinies.

The righteous are promised life without end.

The first group is sent into punishment without end.

Everyone is described as ending up in the same place.

Turn from sin and pursue what is right, trusting God's final verdict.

Assume moral choices do not matter much because the end is the same for everyone.

Focus on looking righteous to other people while leaving the heart unchanged.

Wait for a later moment to change, since future judgment is far away.

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I know I have sinned and I cannot stand before God in my own righteousness. I turn from my sin and ask for your mercy. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. Make me right with God and lead me into the life that never ends. I confess you as Lord and Savior. Amen.

Come to Jesus for Life

Lord, wake your Church up to the reality that judgment is coming and righteousness matters. Free us from numbness and delay, and make us a people who live with urgency, humility, and hope. Let our lives point others to the life you give, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Revive Your Church for Eternity

Father, I confess that I often treat your judgment lightly and chase what is temporary. Forgive me, turn me away from sin, and teach me to love what is right because your life is better than empty gain, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Turn My Heart Toward What Is Right

Pray by naming one area where you have been careless or distracted, ask God to show you the next right step, and ask him to help you live today with eternity in view.

Pray for an Eternal View

Thank God for his clear justice, for warning us before it is too late, for the promise of life that never ends, and for every way he draws people toward righteousness.

Gratitude for Life That Never Ends

Pray for someone who is ignoring spiritual things, for those who are delaying repentance, and for people searching for hope; ask God to draw them to truth and to the life he promises.
