Pilate asks what should be done with Jesus

Their answer calls for Jesus to be crucified

Refuse to join in and speak for what is right

Repeat the crowd's words to keep the peace

Wait and say nothing until the moment passes

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit that I have sinned and followed the wrong crowd. I need your mercy and your saving grace. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I turn from my sin and confess you as Lord and Christ. Receive me, forgive me, and lead my life. Amen.

Come to the Crucified Christ

Lord, revive your Church to choose Jesus over every crowd and to honor him as Christ without shame. Give us courage to stand for truth, tenderness to refuse cruelty, and a new love for your Son when the world shouts otherwise, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

A Church That Chooses Jesus

Lord, forgive me for the times I have gone along with the crowd instead of standing with Jesus. I confess my fear of people and my quickness to join what is wrong. Turn my heart back to truth, and make me faithful in small choices today, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Father, thank you that human rejection did not stop your saving purpose. Thank you that Jesus went to the cross for sinners even when others called for his crucifixion. Keep my heart grateful, humble, and close to him.

Pray for Courage Against the Crowd

Pray for people who feel pushed toward violence, gossip, or unfair judgment. Ask God to open their eyes, steady their conscience, and give them courage to choose Jesus over the crowd.
