Father, when I am pressed into a burden I did not plan, give me grace to bear it with a steady heart. Keep me from resentment, and help me serve faithfully where I am placed, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Bring these to God: the people who helped carry your load; the grace of Jesus meeting you in hard places; the unseen acts of service that made a difference.

Pray for: a person carrying an unwanted responsibility; courage to step in and help rather than watch; and a church that notices burdens quickly and shares them well.
