Refuse to benefit from another person's pain and treat them with dignity

Look for what you can gain before someone else does

Stay neutral so you do not have to feel responsible

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, you were crucified for me, and I need your mercy. I admit that I have sinned and cannot make myself right with God. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I turn from my sin and confess you as Lord. Receive me, forgive me, and make me new. Amen.

Receive the Crucified King

Lord, revive your Church at the foot of the cross. Free us from cold hearts, selfish gain, and indifference to suffering. Teach us to honor Jesus where he was despised, to stand with the wounded, and to value people more than possessions. Wake us up to the cost of your love, and make us faithful witnesses of the crucified King, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Awaken Us at the Cross

Father, for anyone who feels stripped, mocked, or left without dignity, bring the comfort of your presence. Let the suffering of Jesus assure them that you see their pain and are near to the brokenhearted. Cover them with hope, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Comfort for the Stripped and Wounded

Bring to God any habit of using another person's pain, shame, or vulnerability for your own advantage. Ask him for repentance, gentleness, and a new respect for the dignity of others.

Turn from Exploiting Weakness

When you pray about a situation where you could gain from someone else's weakness, name the temptation plainly, ask God to keep your hands clean, and ask for one fair and compassionate step to take today.

Pray Before You Profit

Pray for anyone who is being humiliated, taken advantage of, or left exposed. Ask God to protect them, provide help, and raise up faithful people who will stand with them.
