4. Formal Translation In that day someone will sing a taunt-song over you, and he will wail a lament—“It has happened!”—saying: “Devastated! We have been plundered. He exchanges the portion of my people; how He removes it from me! To a turncoat he parcels out our fields.” |
4. Dynamic Translation When that day arrives, someone will recite a mocking proverb against you, and a dirge will be raised, saying: “We are devastated; we have been plundered. He trades away my people’s share—how he takes it from me! He divides up our fields for a traitor.” |
