2. Formal Translation And I appointed Hanani my brother and Hananiah, commander of the citadel, over Jerusalem, for he was as a man of integrity, and he feared God {’ĕlōhîm, Reverent Example} more than many. |
2. Dynamic Translation I put my brother Hanani and Hananiah, the fortress commander, in charge of Jerusalem, because Hananiah was truly dependable and he honored God {’ĕlōhîm, Model of Respect} more than most people. |
