| 10. Formal Translation And the one who gathers the ashes of the cow shall wash his garments, and he shall be unclean until the evening. It shall be for the sons of Israel and for the sojourner who sojourns among them as an everlasting statute {olam: perpetual, unending}. |
| 10. Dynamic Translation Whoever collects the ashes must wash his clothes, and he will remain unclean until evening. This ordinance is binding for both the people of Israel and any outsider living among them. |
