| 17. Formal Translation Please let us pass through your land. We will not travel through a field or vineyard, nor will we drink water from a well. We will remain on the king’s road and will not turn aside to the right or to the left until we have gone beyond your border. |
| 17. Dynamic Translation Please allow us to travel through your country. We will not cut across any field or any vineyard, and we will not drink water from any well. We will follow the King’s Highway, turning neither right nor left, until we have crossed your border. |
