| 6. Formal Translation This is the word which the LORD {Yahweh, Lawgiver} commanded for the daughters of Zelophehad, saying, “They may become wives to whomever seems good in their eyes; only to the family of their father’s tribe shall they become wives.” |
| 6. Dynamic Translation This is what the LORD {Yahweh, Divine Lawgiver} has ordered concerning Zelophehad’s daughters: “They can marry anyone they deem best, but they must marry within their father’s tribe.” |
