Exegesis

The adverb az {אָז | ʾaz} ‘then’ introduces the result clause where etam {אֵיתָם | ʾē-tām} ‘I shall be blameless’ and ve-niqqeti {וְנִקֵּיתִי | və-niq-qē-ṯî} ‘and I shall be innocent’ affirm moral purity.
