The emphatic autoi laoi autou esontai {αὐτοὶ λαοὶ αὐτοῦ | autoí laoí autoû ésontai} ‘they shall be peoples of him’ underscores covenant belonging, and the climactic autos ho theos met auton estai {αὐτὸς ὁ θεὸς μετʼ αὐτῶν | autòs ho theós metʼ autōn éstai} ‘God Himself will be with them’ completes a chiasm of mutual indwelling.
