11. Formal Translation And all the people who were at the gate and the elders said, “We are witnesses. May the LORD {Yahweh, Blessing Giver} grant the woman who is coming into your house to be like Rachel and Leah, who together built the house of Israel. May you achieve valor in Ephrathah and have a name that is known in Bethlehem.” |
11. Dynamic Translation Then everyone at the city gate, along with the elders, said, “We are witnesses. May the LORD {Yahweh, Source of Family Legacy} make the woman entering your home like Rachel and Leah, who both established the family of Israel. May you show strength in Ephrathah and become renowned in Bethlehem.” |
