| 4. Formal Translation And it happened after this, that war arose in Gezer with the Philistines. Then Sibbekai the Hushathite struck Sippai, from the descendants of the Rephaim, and the Philistines were subdued. |
| 4. Dynamic Translation Later, war broke out at Gezer against the Philistines. That was when Sibbekai the Hushathite killed Sippai, one of the descendants of the Rephaim, and the Philistines were defeated. |
