1. Formal Translation
And King David said to all the assembly, “Solomon my son, the one whom God {Elohim, Sovereign Chooser} has chosen, is young and inexperienced. The work is great, for this palace is not for man, but for the LORD God {Yahweh Elohim, Supreme Dwelling}.”
1. Dynamic Translation
Then King David addressed the whole gathering: “My son Solomon, chosen by God {Elohim, Divine Selector}, is still young and untested. The task is enormous, for this magnificent building is not for humans, but for the LORD God {Yahweh Elohim, Sacred King}.”
