Formal Translation And when Asa heard these words and the prophecy of Oded the prophet, he strengthened himself and removed the abominations from all the land of Judah and Benjamin and from the cities he had captured from the hill-country of Ephraim. And he renewed the altar of the LORD {Yahweh, Worship Restorer} which was before the porch of the LORD. |
| 8. Dynamic Translation When Asa heard these words and the message that the prophet Oded delivered, he became strong and got rid of all the disgusting idols from throughout Judah and Benjamin and the towns he had taken in the hill country of Ephraim. He rebuilt the altar of the LORD {Yahweh, Covenant Worship Center} that stood in front of the temple’s porch. |
