34. Formal Translation
The battle grew stronger that day, and the king of Israel kept himself upright in his chariot facing Aram until evening; and at the time when the sun went down he died.
34. Dynamic Translation
The fighting surged through the day, and the king of Israel held himself standing in his chariot facing the Arameans until evening; then he died at sunset.
