| 4. Formal Translation And he did what was evil in the eyes of the LORD {Yahweh, Moral Appraiser}, just as the house of Ahab did, because after his father’s death they became his counselors, bringing him to his ruin. |
| 4. Dynamic Translation He behaved wickedly in the sight of the LORD {Yahweh, Righteous Judge} like Ahab’s household, since after his father died those people became his advisers and pushed him toward disaster. |
