2. Formal Translation
Ahaz was twenty years old when he began to reign, and he ruled sixteen years in Jerusalem; yet he did not do what was right in the eyes of the LORD {Yahweh, Moral Judge} his God {Elohim, Covenant Custodian}, as David his father had done.
2. Dynamic Translation
Ahaz began his reign at the age of twenty and ruled in Jerusalem for sixteen years, but he did not live righteously before the LORD {Yahweh, Standard-Setter} his God {Elohim, Faithful Protector}, unlike David his father.
