2 Samuel 15:21:1וַיַּ֧עַןvayaanand answered
2 Samuel 15:21:2אִתַּ֛יitaiIttai 2 Samuel 15:21:3אֶת־הַמֶּ֖לֶךְethamelekhwith the king 2 Samuel 15:21:4וַיֹּאמַ֑רvayomarand said 2 Samuel 15:21:5חַי־יְהוָ֗הkhaiyahwehas the LORD lives 2 Samuel 15:21:6וְחֵי֙vekheiand as lives 2 Samuel 15:21:7אֲדֹנִ֣יadonimy lord 2 Samuel 15:21:8הַמֶּ֔לֶךְhamelekhthe king 2 Samuel 15:21:9כִּ֠יkiindeed 2 Samuel 15:21:10אִם־בִּמְק֞וֹםimbimekomif in the place 2 Samuel 15:21:11אֲשֶׁ֥רasherwhich 2 Samuel 15:21:12יִֽהְיֶה־שָּׁ֣םyihyeshamhe will be there 2 Samuel 15:21:13אֲדֹנִ֣יadonimy lord 2 Samuel 15:21:14הַמֶּ֗לֶךְhamelekhthe king 2 Samuel 15:21:15אִם־לְמָ֙וֶת֙imlemavetwhether for death 2 Samuel 15:21:16אִם־לְחַיִּ֔יםimlekhayimor for life 2 Samuel 15:21:17כִּי־שָׁ֖םkishamfor there 2 Samuel 15:21:18יִהְיֶ֥הyihyewill be 2 Samuel 15:21:19עַבְדֶּֽךָ׃avdekhayour servant
21. Formal Translation
And Ittai answered the king and said, “As the LORD {Yahweh, Living Sovereign} lives and as my lord the king lives, surely wherever my lord the king may be, whether for death or for life, that is where your servant will be.”
21. Dynamic Translation
Ittai replied to the king, “As surely as the LORD {Yahweh, Faithful Protector} lives and as you, my king, live, in whatever place you find yourself—whether it means death or life—that is where your servant will be.”
