| 11. Formal Translation If therefore I do wrong and have committed anything worthy of death, I do not refuse to die. But if there is nothing of the things these men accuse me of, no one is able to grant me to them. I appeal to Caesar. |
| 11. Dynamic Translation If I am guilty and have done anything deserving death, I am not trying to avoid dying. But if there is nothing in the accusations these people bring against me, no one has the right to hand me over to them. I appeal to Caesar. |
