The enchanters, the Chaldeans, and the astrologers

To be given permission to keep the writing

Seek trustworthy people who can explain it clearly before you decide

Act as if you understand it and hope no one notices the gap

Keep the issue to yourself and wait for someone else to fix it

Offer a reward, but do not care whether the answer is true

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I come to you needing mercy and truth. I admit that I have sinned and cannot make my life right by myself. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I turn from my sin and receive you as my Lord and Savior. Speak into the confusion of my life, forgive me, and lead me in your way. Amen.

Come to Jesus for Mercy and Truth

Father, awaken your Church to seek your wisdom before we seek approval. Make us humble enough to ask for understanding, bold enough to speak truth, and generous enough to honor what is truly wise. Keep us from trading insight for image, and let our words help others see you clearly, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Revive Your Church With Wisdom

Name the confusing situation, ask God for understanding, and ask him to send the right people to help you read it rightly before you decide.

Pray for Clarity

Thank God for people who can explain what is unclear, for the gift of understanding, and for the grace to value truth more than outward display.

Give Thanks for Wise Counsel

Pray for leaders, teachers, parents, and pastors to look for true understanding instead of empty show; pray that they would value honest answers, wise counsel, and humble hearts.

Leaders Who Seek Real Understanding

Lord, teach me not to pretend I understand when I do not. Give me humility to seek wise counsel, patience to listen well, and courage to value truth over pride, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Teach Me to Ask for Help
